Funeral Assistant - Toowoomba (casual employment position)

Although no previous industry experience is needed, the role will require:

• Second-to-none customer service skills

This role will entail, but is not limited to:

• Preparing for the funeral services both within our facility, as well as at external churches and chapels
• Providing support to our Funeral Arrangement Consultants (Funeral Directors) and assisting them before, during and after the funeral service as required
• Offering guidance and support to the families and communities we serve
• Providing a transfer service for the deceased, from home or hospital, into our care (including after hours and weekends)
• Assist with the detailing of company vehicles to ensure first class presentation.
• The need to be physically capable (lifting & set ups at gravesides including placing framework around graves, lowering device in place, placing chairs and erecting shade)
• The amount of work opportunities will be determined largely by your ability to work a range of tasks and your willingness and flexibility with ‘on call’ availability to participate in duties day and night and on weekends.  If you have a desire to explore opportunities to serve in this vocation but may not necessarily be able to commit to all roles or broad availability, we encourage you to apply and discuss the possibilities.

This role will require a police check and pre-employment medical to ensure the standard of fitness required (e.g., Can you complete ten consecutive push-ups? Can you lift 20kg and hold a squat position? Do you regularly exercise? Do you participate in physical sporting activities?), we are also a smoke free workplace.
