Catering - The Pioneers Room

The Pioneers Room, Burstows' catering facility, is located on-site but separate from the Chapel and Funeral Home. This facility provides a private venue to meet after the funeral where the atmosphere is friendly and uplifting. The Pioneers Room has been the setting for many gatherings where family and friends have laughed, cried and begun the healing together.

A wide range of menu choices is available and all but the cheesecakes are freshly prepared and baked on-site on the day of your gathering.

Room Hire - $150.00

Please note:

Room hire allows use of the lounge for 90 minutes
Use of The Pioneers Room after normal business hours will incur an extra fee.
All prices include GST
The premises are not licensed to serve alcohol

After Hours Charges

Monday to Friday before 6pm - Room Hire only

Monday to Friday after 6pm - Room Hire plus an additional $295

Saturdays - Room Hire plus an additional $295

Sundays - Room Hire plus an additional $295

Public Holidays - Room Hire plus an additional $442.50

Food Handling and Health Regulations

Health regulations do not allow home made food to be brought to the Pioneers Room or for any food to be taken away.

Additional Charges

Where numbers exceed the original order, we can provide bottomless tea, coffee and orange juice for an additional $2.20 per person. Additional hot food can also be arranged to help satisfy extra numbers at a cost of $40.00 per platter. One platter serves approx 15 people.

Special Menus

With advance notice the menu can be adapted to suit individual needs, for example, gluten or dairy-free servings.
